The end of Gilamesh

The last source of knowledge was the video we saw a day ago were we learn in to discriptive details about Gilgamesh and Ankidu. We learn in mor edetail that they are both the same. The GOds sent down Ankidu inorder to teach Gilgamesh a lesson of abusing his power. Once they both met they started to fight, after some time they realized they are equally the same. Hence they became friends and Gilgamesh calmed down with abusing his power. One (Gilgamesh) is more in the modern life lives in the city and lives the normal way people would do just more luxirous due to his position at the time. While Ankidu stayed in the forest as a wild animal. But the Gods sent down a woman to teach Ankidu the ways of living normally, more like a human. Which succeded the woman help Ankidu relive his life in the city which leads to the encounter of Gilgamesh and Ankidu once again.

Death Stalks Gilgamesh.

The first point ask how does the dicussion in class about,"catharsis" relate to Gilgamesh gaining knowledge about his mortality. Mortalitly refers to subject of death. Gilgamesh realized he was not imortal making him unsafe and possibly a target just like Enkidu.For he was also involved in the same situation that got Enkidu killed. Gilgamesh is confronted by the king of URK which he states the consequences for his actions, But after this Gilgamesh,"tore at his hair and clothing" inorder to join Enkidu in the underworld. A symbol of Gilgamesh confronting his mortality.

Who do we blame for enkidu's death?

I have read the passages and it is my belief that The god Enlil who lives in heaven.  Now the next day Enkidu had a very peculiar dream, he dreamed about all the Gods consulting about punishing Enkidu for claims that he helped Gilgamesh to kill Humbaba. They had to choose who would die for this. Enlil chose Enkidu which made Enkidu waste away and disappear. That is how Enkidu died.
